Minnesota, The Toro Company has nearly 5,000 employees
worldwide and is a leading provider of outdoor maintenance
and beautification products for home, recreation
and commercial landscapes. |
Mr.
Melrose joined Toro in 1970 as director of marketing for
the Consumer Products Division. During his tenure with
the company he has served as president of Game Time Inc.,
a former subsidiary; vice president of the companys Outdoor
Power Equipment Group; executive vice president and president.
Melrose was named CEO in 1983 followed by chairman in
1987. Before joining Toro, he was director of corporate
planning at Bayfield Technologies Inc., and marketing
manager in the Pillsbury New Products Division.
